We learned so much in the month of November. We had a grocery
store in our room and our restaurant was Kentucky Fried Chicken. We learned about the harvest and many foods. We had a mini
feast and dressed like Pilgrims and Native Americans. We studied farms and farm animals.
We made handprints and footprints to decorate for the Wurstmarkt.
In
December we will do many exciting things. We have already made peppermint decorations for the town tree. Our teacher donated
a desk for the auction painted with Lutheran name, rose, and mission statements on it.
We will collect food for the canned food drive. We are practicing songs for our Christmas Eve Program. Our classroom
theme this month is Happy Birthday Jesus. We will do Nativity Art and an angel project.
Our classroom restaurant is a bakery. We have a pet shop too. We will be learning about the Five Senses in our Science
Center and Artic Animals in our Building Center. We have a lot of winter puppets and playdoh cutters. We will do a gingerbread and cookie unit as well.
Our Christmas trees in the hall and our classroom are in a birthday theme to wish
Jesus a Happy Birthday! We will begin learning about the New Testament later this month as we finish the Old Testament. We
will finish the year with a gift exchange and yummy food on the last day before break.
We
want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and pray that others keep the true meaning of Christmas. Please remember that Jesus
our Savior was born as the greatest gift we will ever know.
